Linda Stephen Solo Exhibit in
Nebraska Governor's Residence in Fall 2010
September 3, 2010 – The Nebraska Arts Council is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibit in the Nebraska Arts Council’s Governor's Residence Program: Linda Stephen, Origami Collage (Lincoln).
When: September 22, 2010 - October 22, 2010
What: Solo exhibit of 12 origami scenes featuring thousands of folded paper elements from handmade papers around the world. Stephen’s 2010 Nebraska Governor’s Residence Exhibition will feature origami landscapes celebrating simple joys. This scene based on the courthouse square in Minden, Nebraska honors community. Other treasures in time from Nebraska and around the world will also be on display: cranes dancing, a quiet church on a rainy day, a canal in springtime.
Where:: The Nebraska Governor's Residence is located at 1425 "H" Street, in Lincoln. The residence is open for public tours on Thursdays from 1 to 4 pm. Groups visiting Nebraska's capital city may enjoy a guided tour of the home featuring historical information and memorabilia collected by Nebraska's first families.
